PLH Medical, a company that has been working closely with PDSA and RSPCA for the past 30 years, is proud to announce that their MD, Mike Jenkins, and Logistics Manager, Ben Griggs, are taking on the Three Peak Challenge in October to raise funds for the two amazing charities.
The National Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the highest mountains in England, Scotland, and Wales – Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon – within 24 hours. It is known to be one of the toughest outdoor challenges in Britain. Mike and Ben are not just taking it on for the thrill, but for the opportunity to give back to the community by raising funds for PDSA and RSPCA. These charities are well-known for their amazing work providing essential veterinary care to animals and rescuing and rehoming animals in need.
Over the last 30 years, PLH Medical has developed a strong relationship with these charities and has witnessed the incredible work that they do. It’s an honour for the company to support the charities by undertaking this physically and mentally challenging task.
Mike and Ben have been training hard over the last few months to get their fitness levels up for the challenge. They have also been preparing themselves for the unpredictable weather conditions and rugged terrains of the mountains. Despite the rigorous training and preparation, the challenge will require strong determination and willpower to succeed.
The goal is to raise a minimum of £1000 each for the charities, with 80% of the target to be raised by July 28th, 2023.
